Compassion UK

Compassion is an international Christian child development and child advocacy ministry. Partnering with local churches, it is committed to the spiritual, economic, social and physical development of children living in extreme poverty in 26 countries, enabling them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.

As a church we currently sponsor four children through Compassion UK.

Yacub who lives in Seeta, Uganda, Erick who lives in Kenya, Africa,  Corina who lives in El Salvador, South America,  and Khwankao who lives in Thailand.

Methodist Overseas Missons

We collect loose change in personal collection boxes from adults and children in JMA, (Junior mission for all), to support Overseas missions.  Children are presented with certificates and badges and regular magazines to encourage them.  Please contact Sarah Mills for more information.

Tithes

We tithe 10% of the Sunday offerings of the church to other good local, National and International causes.  In the past year we have provided support for:

  • Richard Welch - Richard was born and raised in Gornal but was challenged by the tremendous needs of Albania resulting in him making a three-week visit with members of his local church and eventually becoming a full time missionary there. Click to download Richard's Latest Newsletter.

  • Ten:Two Trust -  Josh Raybould is a local evangelist who currently works with All Nations Church in Wolvehampton supporting Local and International needs.

  • Barnabus Fund - supporting Christians where they are in a minority and suffer discrimination, oppression and persecution as a consequence of their faith.

  • Vision of Hope - Supporting young people with addictions with animal assisted therapy.

  • High Flyers - A centre for young people with special needs based in Wombourne

  • Krassif Aid - A charity supporting orphans in Bulgaria

  • St Stephen's Society - Supporting the poor in the far East
